Whether you’re preparing students for competition, planning a field trip, or helping students explore college theatre, GTA can be a resource for your program.
Use this page to explore workshops, adjudication, student events, school matinees, and audition opportunities.
On-site opportunities are scheduled by request and depend on location, date, and faculty availability. Priority is given to schools in Gainesville, Hall County, and surrounding districts.

Bring GTA to Your School
Invite GTA faculty to support your students with workshops, classroom visits, and adjudication opportunities designed for high school theatre programs.
Free Student Workshops
GTA faculty may be available to lead hands-on workshops for high school theatre students. Topics may include acting, musical theatre, design, technology, audition preparation, portfolio preparation, and other areas based on student needs and faculty availability.
One Act Play Preparation
Elevate your One Act Play with mock adjudication from GTA faculty. Students receive specific, constructive feedback that supports artistic growth before competition day.
Classroom Visits
Connect your students with college theatre faculty through classroom visits, Q&As, and conversations about theatre training after high school.

School Matinees
Bring your students to weekday performances of select GTA productions. School matinees offer student-friendly pricing and a chance to experience live theatre connected to classroom learning.
Bring Your Students to GTA
GTA offers student events and performance opportunities that help high school students experience theatre beyond the classroom.
Backstage Bootcamp
Held each August, Backstage Bootcamp gives high school students a hands-on look at technical theatre and production. Students participate in workshops and connect with theatre professionals.
Actor Intensive
Held each summer, Actor Intensive offers tuition-based training for high school performers interested in acting, musical theatre, and audition preparation. Details will be shared as they are confirmed.

Students interested in GTA complete an audition or portfolio submission process in addition to applying for admission to the appropriate university. Current audition dates, portfolio requirements, and virtual submission instructions are available on the audition information page.
College Theatre Pathways
Students can explore theatre degree pathways through Brenau University and the University of North Georgia.
Audition + Portfolio Submission
Students interested in GTA complete an audition or portfolio submission process in addition to applying for admission to the appropriate university.
Virtual Submissions Accepted
Students who cannot attend an in-person audition or portfolio review may submit materials online.
