A UNIQUE COLLABORATION

Our two-university structure allows students to customize their collegiate experience. Using the strengths and distinguished faculty of two theatre departments, this shared program trains the next generation of professional theatre artists. We utilize hands-on, individualized training in our top-notch classrooms and labs, and we emphasize collaboration and ensemble in our robust production program that rivals the largest theatre schools in the country. Our close proximity to Atlanta makes for abundant professional opportunities (in both theatre and film) right in our backyard.

Choosing Between Brenau & UNG

Both Brenau University and the University of North Georgia (UNG) offer exceptional theatre programs through GTA, but each serves different student needs and lifestyles:

Brenau University provides a traditional four-year liberal arts experience, ideal for students who want to live on campus and enjoy a vibrant social community.

UNG is a great option for commuting students, offering strong financial assistance opportunities and flexibility for those balancing work and education.

We recommend all students apply to both programs and then see which one suits you best.

Regardless of which university you choose, GTA provides an outstanding education that will prepare you for a successful career in the performing arts.
