WHO WE ARE
Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA) is an inter-collegiate theatre collaboration between Brenau University and The University of North Georgia.
Formed in 1979, GTA focuses on producing high-quality, university theatrical productions and provides students access to learning opportunities between both universities.
The program’s unique structure has maintained strong support over it’s 45+ year history, from both universities and throughout the local Gainesville community.

GTA is dedicated to fostering an environment that nurtures collaboration, artistic growth, & a celebration of the human experience – with the goal of enriching & inspiring our students & local community.
Through dynamic partnerships, we aim to cultivate a vibrant artistic ecosystem, where we can unite to tell meaningful stories, explore a range of perspectives & celebrate the transformative power of theatre.
