Sly Brer Fox, credulous Brer Bear and the clever, infuriating, hilarious Brer Rabbit all inhabit the shade and sunlight of the American Old South, where these classic tales from the traditions of Southern, African and Native American folklore combine in a frolicsome, rib-ticklin', head-scratchin' romp that teaches us our "thinkin' machines" really are the key to life. Directed by Gay H. Hammond

Singin’ in the Rain

Considered by many to be the gold standard in Hollywood musicals, this American screen gem comes to the GTA stage with all the charm, laughs and brilliant dance numbers that made it an MGM classic in 1952.  Singin’ in the Rain’ pokes delightful fun at the panic in Hollywood as silent screen stars try to make the transition to “talkies,” and two musical buddies work to jam up the powerful studio publicity machine to shine the spotlight on a talented starlet.  Patrons will once again LOVE this rhythmic splash in the puddle.      Directed by Jim Hammond

(1) Intimate Apparel

Intimate Apparel is a deeply moving portrait of Esther, an African-American seamstress who creates exquisite lingerie for women of both the boudoir and the brothel in 1905 Manhattan.  As years pass and young friends marry and leave the boarding house and Esther consoles her loneliness and deftly stitches beautiful things for other women’s intimate moments, a stream of love letters begin to arrive from a handsome Barbadian laborer working on the Panama Canal.  This winner of five Best Play awards is filled with desire, passion and betrayal. Directed by Jim Hammond

(2) The Underpants

This adaptation by Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin) focuses a zany eye on the relationship between a prudish butcher and his delectably voluptuous young wife, Louise.  In a time when a glimpse of stocking was something shocking, two very different men face cardiac arrest when they are witness to the full descent of the luscious Louise’s lingerie during an outdoor celebration.  To the butcher’s dismay, Louise gains instant celebrity and attracts all kinds of romantic intrigue in this hilarious, frothy, naughty comedy. Directed by Alan Kilpatrick

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. Hermia's father prefers Demetrius, and since Athenian law allows Hermia just four days to choose between Demetrius, life in a nunnery, or death, the ever-defiant Hermia chooses to escape with Lysander into the surrounding forest.  And there, the magic begins!  Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy will take you on a spectacular journey through a moonlit forest on a midsummer night.  See what happens when a love potion ends up in the hands of the mischievous Puck, and the lives and desires of lovers – both mortal and magical – are turned upside down.   Directed by Elisa Carlson
