GTA faculty, staff, guest artists and theatre majors are all available resources for you, as educators, to use in your curriculum plan.  We can provide helpful, entertaining programs for both secondary and elementary students, in a variety of subjects.  These are vivid, interactive presentations and workshops, such as:

For the Older Student . . .
LITERATURE/HISTORY: Victorian London (and Charles Dickens), Lewis Carroll's World, The Manners of Jane Austen, Medieval Life, Shakespeare and the Golden Age of Elizabeth I, African Folklore and Secrets of Fairy Tales.

LANGUAGE ARTS/COMMUNICATION: Express Yourself! (which can focus on the excitement of language, or on the confident, expressive body, providing useful tips and guidelines for the student interested in making a better impression in business and in personal life)

DRAMA/THEATRE: Improv and Theatre Games, Monologue Workshop, Easy Steps to a Stage Dialect (Standard British, Cockney, French, various American Southern, etc.)  Architectural Acting (how to incorporate your body into your acting), Set Construction, Principles of Light Design, Easy Historical Costuming, Shakespeare Alive!, etc.

For the Younger Student . . .
We do Storytellings and Movement Games.  Books can be chosen by you, but in the past we have developed titles such as:

  • AFRICAN TALES (including Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears, and Hot Hippo)
  • THE GREAT KAPOK TREE
  • SCARY STORIES (including The Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything, and The Banshee)
  • MYTHS (including Why Sun and Moon Live in the Sky)
  • PIONEER TALES (including Prairie Ghost)
  • SENDAK SERIES (including Where the Wild Things Are and Outside Over There)
  • SEUSS (any one of these you like, but we tend to go for Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs & Ham)
