Certificate in Theatre and Entertainment Technology
The Theatre and Entertainment Technology Certificate is one of a few in the nation and the only one in north Georgia that trains students to work in all facets of the entertainment industry. This unique program is designed to prepare individuals to work as skilled technicians, capable of functioning independently, or as part of a production team in the preparation and performance of theatrical/entertainment events. Sound and lighting technology are rapidly growing industries that are quickly finding new markets related to architecture and design, movie production, corporate theatre, religious institutions, national business conventions, commercials, and special event installations.

A.A. in Theatre
An Associate's (A.A.) degree in Theatre is available through Gainesville State College. As part of the Gainesville Theater Alliance, the program is offered in cooperation with Brenau University, where some of the courses may meet. Courses include theater appreciation, history, acting, scene design, lighting, costume design, script writing, movement, voice, playwriting, management, and others.

B.F.A. in Design and Technology for Theatre
The Bachelors degree in Design and Technology for Theatre is available through both Brenau University and Gainesville State College. It is a 120 hour degree designed to meet the educational employment requirements of workers in theatrical design and the entertainment technology industry. The BFA Design-Tech program focuses on application as well as theory, with a firm scholarly foundation and an intensive hands-on approach to learning.

B.A. in Theatre
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in theatre is a 120 hour degree program which includes 43 credit hours of theatre coursework and 21 credit hours of elective courses in theatre and related disciplines. Students will receive a solid foundation in all aspects of theatre with the opportunity to craft a curriculum path that meets their specific interests and needs.

B.F.A. in Musical Theatre
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in theatre with an emphasis in musical theatre is a 120 hour degree program which includes a 46 credit hour core, 10 credit hours in dance and 16 credit hours in music. Students are trained and educated to be competitive within the musical theatre profession.

M.A.T. in Theatre Education
For students interested in being theatre educators at the high school level, Brenau University offers a Master of Arts in Teaching, with specialization in Theatre. Students completing their Bachelor’s degrees in theatre can continue for one to two years to earn this advanced level training and their teaching certificate.
